It's a decent, but old apartment building. And as an old building, it has style that you won't find in many other places. I'm 6'6" and I LOVE the tall (very tall) ceilings. It also randomly has interesting little things like French doors that connect my dining room to my kitchen, and a fun little window'd cupboard in my dining room for nice plates, glasses, or whatever you want to display (I'm sure there's a proper term for this cabinet, but I have no clue). Finally, the wood floors everywhere are pretty solid. On the other hand, as an older building, you'll also find that some units won't have outlets in certain rooms. I'm talking about your bathroom. I don't have an outlet in my bathroom, and when asked, management said they don't plan to install one. Overall perks: decent gym facility in the Blackstone with all new equipment, pet friendly, high ceilings, hardwood floors, GREAT location. Overall detractions: I pay $1250 for a one bedroom unit with a very outdated bathroom and a small kitchen (I LOVE to cook). Also, you will probably have pest problems, I've dealt on-and-off with cockroaches for years, and this year developed a rodent problem in my bedroom walls and kitchen. Finally, chances are good that the people you sign with will not be the ones you will have when you leave. I've also been here for 3.5yrs and have had four managers (three different owners of the building): two managers were great, one was terrible (she left!), and the current folks are pretty solid (Jennifer and Andrea). I'd recommend stopping by and viewing a unit if you're in the area. They are NOT cookie cutter apartments*** and each has a fun, unique character that you might like if you have the money to pay for it. And if you do move in, exchange numbers and get to know your neighbors. There are some pretty cool people around here and I like to throw dinner parties for my friends in the building. ***Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and dining room sizes WILL vary. If I had to do it again, I would have looked for a unit with a bigger kitchen and better natural lighting.***

Don't do it! The apartments seem to have character at the first glance but are HORRIBLY maintained. Throughout my lease, I had pest, water, heating and cooling, and an abundance of general maintainence issues. My furnace created a huge water leak in my room and the issues were not corrected. The lack of security is the worst issue about this place. Random people would sleep on the couch in the lobby of Lee, and people left the doors propped open and unlocked 24/7. The general lack of genuine care from the Management is the biggest let down. Living in an old building means issues, but these far exceeded any other historic building/ house I lived in. This company is not BBB accredited for a reason! DON'T DO IT!
